Samsung has taken an aggressive stance in the Indian smartphone market. The company has launched many smartphones this year and many more are to be launched. At the same time, in the budget segment, the brand is bringing new options for its consumers. Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy M12 smartphone, which is similar to the Samsung Galaxy A12 in terms of design and specifications. However, mild changes are observed. This phone coming in the budget segment performs well in many respects, so let’s know how powerful this Samsung device is.

The Samsung Galaxy M12 is very similar in appearance to the Galaxy A12. However, its weight is slightly higher and the reason for this is its larger battery. The phone comes with a boxy design, which feels thick and heavy. It gets a plastic body and the rear design is in two parts. The top has thin linings, giving it a grip. The design is on two-thirds of the rear panel of the phone, while one part is on the plane. Samsung’s branding is available on this. The handset comes with a square-shaped camera module.

It has a side-mounted fingerprint, which is on the power button. There are volume buttons on the right side while the SIM tray is found on the left side. The bottom has a 3.5mm audio jack, Type-C port, and speaker grille. Overall the design of the phone is fine. Scratch and fingerprint marks are not visible on the rear panel. You can use it with one hand, but you have to face some difficulty.

Samsung has given a 6.5-inch HD + (720 × 1,600 pixels) TFT Infinity-V display in this device. The phone has an auto-brightness feature, which adjusts the brightness of the screen according to less and more light. The handset also has an i-comfort shield feature, which gives relief to the eyes. The display of the smartphone does not look very impressive. There is no problem in low light, but it is difficult in the sun. However, keeping its price in mind, the phone’s display is fine. That is, the average level of display is available on the phone. The display does not come with a high refresh rate, that is, the touch response is also mediocre.

Samsung Galaxy M12 comes with Exynos 850 processor, which works well. There is no type of lagging in the phone. The handset works well. You can also play small games on it. We did not face any problems in our daily work. The smartphone offers One UI 3.1 based on Android 11. That is, the latest Android OS has been given to the phone. The brand will continue to provide the latest updates to this phone for the next three years, so there is no need to worry about it.

One UI is available in the smartphone, which has a clean interface. However, it also has many non-Google apps. The good thing is that these apps can be deleted. The phone is a bit too hot, which is normal. If you are a normal user, then you will not have any problem with this device, but heavy gaming cannot be done on it.

The handset comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is of average standard. It works well according to the budget. In this, you also get the option of Face Unlock. The smartphone comes with a single speaker, which cannot be said to be very good. The sound quality we found weak, so if you are fond of loud sound, then the phone will disappoint you. The smartphone works well in terms of connectivity. Network reception is better and no complaints were found in the earpiece and mic.

This phone has a quad rear camera setup, whose main lens is 48MP. Apart from this, the smartphone has a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. In terms of camera, Samsung has done a great job with this smartphone. Whether in artificial lighting or in natural lighting, the main camera of the handset works well. There is a lot of detail in the pictures taken with the main camera.

Its macro camera is quite good, which takes great photos in natural lighting. Color reproduction is good. Photos taken in low-light are fine, but in natural light, the phone works great. The front gets an 8MP camera, which is of average standard. A lot of details are seen in the selfie taken from it. Overall, this phone will not disappoint you in terms of camera.

Samsung has given a 6000mAh battery in this device. Apart from the processor, this phone is different from the Galaxy A12 in terms of battery only. The smartphone supports 15W charging. The battery backup of the phone is tremendous. This phone can be used for two days on a single charge. It took more than 2 hours to charge with a 15W charger. Even after media consumption and gaming, this phone can be used comfortably for more than a day. However, it definitely takes longer to charge. This is due to the large 6000mAh battery and 15W charger. According to the budget, the battery performance of the phone is excellent.

Should you buy this phone?
